VAG-Valves South Africa’s platform for growth

July 2, 2008

South Africa’s water and wastewater industry took a step forward on June 24, 2008, when VAG-Valves South Africa (Pty) Ltd opened its new prestige offices and warehouse in Barbeque Downs, Kyalami, Johannesburg.

The founding of VAG-Valves SA was a response by the holding company in Germany, to the growth in demand for VAG products in Southern Africa.

“Quite simply, VAG wants to be close to its customers,” explained the President and Group Chief Executive Officer of the VAG Group, Robert Fellner-Feldegg, speaking at the opening of the new premises.

The new premises will provide sufficient office space to provide VAG customers with the highest levels of service. The 300 sq metres of warehousing in the building will ensure that the South African operation will carry sufficient inventory to respond rapidly to the needs of its clients. Commenting on the new premises, Fellner-Feldegg explained that the new premises would provide a platform for the further expansion of VAG in Southern Africa.

“While every company likes to claim that their products are superior, VAG’s 136 years of experience in the global water and waste water industry provide irrefutable proof of its competitive product excellence,” explains Fellner-Feldegg.

Speaking on behalf of himself and his fellow Director, Sam Hamer, VAG-Valves South Africa’s Managing Director, Vusie Sithole, commented: “This is the first step in the direction of supplying quality valve products in Southern Africa to a variety of our clients who we have served indirectly over the years“
