VAG Armaturen GmbH achieves ISO 14001:2004 accreditation

On September 14, 2011, VAG-Armaturen GmbH was awarded ISO 14001:2004 accreditation by TÜV SÜD. This certifies the introduction and implementation of an environmental management system (EMS). With the implementation of an environmental management system, VAG is setting a new benchmark for sustainable growth and corporate social responsibility. Among the company’s objectives are the reduction of waste and environmental pollution, environmental protection and the economical use of resources. Read more

This year the Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE) of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) was held in Washington, D.C., from 12th - 16th June. The VAG-Group was not only represented by the North American subsidiary VAG Valves USA, but also by staff members from Europe and Mexico. The booth the VAG-Group presented was most impressive for the market to see and did not only offer the opportunity to get acquainted with the valves but also for discussion in a relaxed atmosphere. Duplex steel valves DN 2000 for Dutch power plant

At the beginning of this month, VAG supplied the first DN 2000 butterfly valves made entirely of duplex stainless steel. In the year 2007, construction work for a new coal-fired power plant began in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Besides coal, the power plant is also to be fired with biomass and is designed to achieve an efficiency of 46%. Read more
